Re-entry Debriefing

Re-entry debriefing provides an opportunity for individuals or groups returning to life in North America with the pooprtunity to work through the adjustment process in a supportive environment. Individuals who have experienced or witnessed traumatic or horrific events such as robbery, famine, rape, kidnapping, unexpected death, earthquake, or civil unrest may have difficluty adjusting to daily life. Because their experiences are unique, sometimes a sense of isolation or depression develops. Debriefing provides an opportunity to process these experiences; it encourages resilience and identifies resources to facilitated sucessful adjustment. Discussion plus informative handouts are provided to help the participants understand their internal adjustment process. Re-entry debriefing is usually done over several days. It includes completing pen and paper tasks, facilitated exercises, and discussion. All sessions are confidential. Individual, couple, or group debriefings are offered.
